The complete terms, written to be read. Last inscribed: July 2026.

I. Nature of a Tribute

A tribute made through this site is an unconditional personal gift from you to the creator and operator of Largess, a private individual ("the Creator"), received via PayPal, the recipient being named on your payment receipt. It is not a purchase, a subscription, a donation to a charitable cause, an investment, a loan, or consideration for any good or service. Nothing is sold here. Nothing is delivered. This is disclosed prominently and repeatedly before any payment.

II. What You Receive

Nothing. No product, service, access, benefit, preference, or advantage of any kind. At your request, and subject to verification, your chosen name or alias and verified lifetime tribute total may be inscribed in the public Ledger — a purely honorary and revocable courtesy, not a consideration.

III. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of making gifts under the laws that apply to you, and giving money that is yours to give freely. By making a tribute you confirm all three.

IV. The Ledger and Verification

Ledger entries are inscribed only after the tribute is verified against funds actually received (your PayPal transaction ID). Aliases are welcome. The Creator may decline, edit for propriety, or remove any entry at his discretion. The Ledger ranks verified lifetime totals; the top entry is styled "The Crown". These are words on a page, and glorious ones.

V. Finality; Reversed Payments; The Debt Roll

A gift, once given, is intended by both parties to be final and irrevocable. Largess cannot and does not technically prevent payment reversals or chargebacks, and nothing here limits any right you may hold under applicable law or PayPal's own policies. However: a tribute that is reversed after inscription will be struck from the Ledger, and the objective, verifiable facts of the reversal — strictly limited to the alias previously inscribed at your request, the reversed amount and the date — may be recorded permanently in the public Debt Roll and referenced in communications of the site. The Roll records facts, never characterizations; supporting evidence is retained for every entry. Legal names are never published — only the alias you chose for your moment of glory. By requesting inscription in the Ledger, you consent to this treatment of a subsequent reversal. Old money does not take money back.

VI. Not a Charity; Taxes

Largess is not a charity, nonprofit, or fundraising platform. Tributes are not tax-deductible anywhere. Any tax obligations arising from your gift are your own affair and, on his side, the Creator's.

VII. Satire, Honestly Priced

Largess is an independent work of functional satire. The tone is theatrical; the transaction is not. Payments are real, immediate, and go to one identified human being who will keep them. You are not being deceived — you are being told the truth with unusual enthusiasm.
